We are partnered with Forest Trail Academy.
Your teen will benefit from one-on-one educational support; this will ensure that s/he is able to either catch up to standards, maintain current progress or move ahead in his/her studies, earning additional academic credits.
A critical component of our approach is family therapy. We offer two options for families to receive support and actively participate in their teen’s progress: our psychologists will meet weekly with families either in person or through videoconferencing.
Your teen takes part in a minimum of two individual therapy sessions per week. Such frequent therapy sessions reduce the amount of time spent in counseling with an often greater rate of success.
All students attend daily group therapy in a structured format with a goal toward developing the necessary tools to manage daily stressors that they often find overwhelming. Read More
Nutritional Support, Fitness & Activities
All students receive the right food for their development, and PLP passes on this discipline to students and families alike.
Many school districts have eliminated the budgets for physical fitness and the arts; this is beginning to result in out-of-shape, uncreative young adults. At Pacific Life Program our teens are constantly challenged to develop themselves both physically and artistically through the many social, athletic, and artistic activities available here.
Because people are capable of learning in multiple ways, Pacific Life Program also offers activities for our students that address the more deeply experiential aspects of life. Your teen will have access to: Equine-assisted Therapy,
experiential learning, body relaxation.
Life Skills & Vocational Training
We help teens identify and develop their gifts, and work toward strengthening their passions. Teens are distracted from seeing their potential, and the Life Skills component assists them in managing or eliminating distractions. In this way your teen will come away with more adult coping skills and more successful social interaction and presentation. PLP also holds workshops on career paths, vocational training, identifying community and state colleges, resume writing, mock interviews, professional attitudes, dress code and much more.
